About the Role
This is a hands-on senior engineering position responsible for the performance, reliability, and security of our hybrid network environment across Azure, security, remote access, load balancing, and branch connectivity. You will lead the resolution of complex network challenges, drive automation and observability, and support our ongoing transition to a more Azure-native architecture.
Responsibilities
- Own the reliability, performance, and availability of Azure and hybrid network services.
- Act as the senior escalation point for major incidents and complex technical issues.
- Design and enhance Azure networking, connectivity, and security solutions.
- Support and optimize technologies including F5 BIG-IP, Cisco ASA, Check Point, Zscaler, and SD-WAN.
- Drive network modernization, simplification, and automation initiatives.
- Implement monitoring, Infrastructure as Code, and operational best practices.
- Partner with Cloud, Security, and Engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in Azure networking and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, DNS, and VPNs.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP, Cisco ASA, Check Point, and Zscaler.
- Experience with network security, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, or scripting.
- Experience supporting production environments and leading incident resolution.
- Ability to lead by example while remaining hands-on technically.
- Ability to take ownership from identification through to resolution.
- Ability to build strong relationships through collaboration and technical credibility.
- Ability to mentor and develop fellow engineers.
- Ability to balance delivery pace with security, resilience, and operational excellence.
