About the Role
To take full responsibility for managing accounts in Korea, deep dive into the market to find more opportunities, and develop new business and sustainable sales growth. Directly involved in local sales and increasing dominance of strategic accounts management and distributors. Develops customer strategy to create business cases and ensure sales growth through knowledge of the complex portfolio of products and industry sectors served.
Responsibilities
- Embrace performance culture, BU LAB Values and safety into daily business activities, maintain good communication, and proactive attitude.
- Manage key customers to align with their future directions and develop collaborative projects for consistent business growth.
- Maintain professional relationships with responsible accounts and distributors to create new business opportunities by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Handle negotiations at various levels, maintain strong multilevel relationships, and use these relationships to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
- Ensure proper market & business information flow across teams and the entire BU LAB organization.
- Ensure full and consistent use of the BU LAB CRM tool and forecasting accuracy.
- Negotiate account pricing and ensure alignment within the territory / business segment.
- Maintain close communication with direct report line and across global sales/marketing/technical teams.
- Develop, align, and execute regional and global strategy, including administrative work on sales contracts negotiations and strategic account management.
- Understand details of micro/macro trends influencing technical/product programs, focusing on fields such as Automotive, Refrigeration, Greases, Industrial Applications, Cosmetics, and Power plants.
- Develop new business opportunities by keeping up with the latest industry trends, market trends, and competitor & customer intelligence.
- Share market information, set up strategic plans, and work with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate strong motivation and persistence to keep exploring new growth opportunities, including market development.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of sales experience in the lubricant and additives industry, preferably within multinational corporations.
- Possess technical knowledge of chemicals.
- Driven, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Strong skills in sales management and excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in English and competence with computer applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A high level of motivation to pursue new business opportunities.
