About the Role
This growth role focuses on owning Sift's events and field program, including community nights in the San Francisco office. The goal is to transform in-person event energy into compelling online content, driving both brand visibility and lead generation.
Responsibilities

- Implement an internal event scoring framework to evaluate all event participation.
- Develop and manage an owned event program, including dinners and roundtables, that generates attendance without solely relying on AE invites.
- Establish a recurring San Francisco community program to engage the local hardware and autonomy community.
- Ensure all hosted or attended events produce shareable content (clips, photos, posts) for online platforms within days.
- Enhance Sift's Twitter presence to reflect the energy of the SF hard tech scene and encourage team participation.
- Collaborate with RevOps to improve marketing attribution, linking events to opportunities and pipeline.
- Systematize booth execution with owned assets, runbooks, collateral kits, consistent lead capture, and timely follow-up.
- Contribute to employer branding through 'Working at Sift' and 'Why I Joined' programs, highlighting engineers as content protagonists.
- Manage speaking submissions and sponsorships in coordination with the comms team.
- Treat all programs as a growth portfolio, measuring performance, eliminating underperforming initiatives, and scaling successful ones.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in field marketing, growth, events, brand, or community management with ownership of a calendar, budget, and performance metrics.
- Experience within a company during a period of significant growth and positive employer branding.
- Demonstrated ability to translate in-person event experiences into successful online content that drives engagement and attendance.
- Proficiency with or strong understanding of Twitter, particularly within the hard tech and defense tech sectors.
- Proven track record of running successful hosted events that generate demand for invitations.
- Established network within the Bay Area's hard tech, defense tech, robotics, or autonomy industries.
- Ability to balance creative 'vibe' with measurable 'funnel' outcomes, demonstrating success in both areas.
- Strong production instincts, including directing video, photography, and editorial content for rapid deployment.
- Excellent operational skills, managing contracts, budgets, shipping, staffing, and vendor relations.
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools for list building and campaign execution.
- Willingness to travel approximately one show per month during event seasons, plus regular trips to Los Angeles and periodic travel to Washington, D.C.
