About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the wiq team. This role is crucial in delivering sophisticated data science solutions that drive value for the Woolworths Group, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen to translate complex business problems into actionable analytical insights.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver sophisticated analytics solutions that solve complex business problems
- Deliver analytical workstreams, from problem framing through to solution implementation
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key Woolworths stakeholders
- Translate technical concepts and analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations
- Contribute to building team capabilities
- Ensure high quality standards and best practices are maintained across deliverables
- Deliver innovation in analytical approaches and methodologies
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in data science and analytics
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- A proven ability to translate complex analytical concepts into business insights
- A track record of delivering high-impact analytics solutions
Skills
- Strong programming and querying skills in languages such as Python, R, SAS or SQL
- A deep understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
