About the Role

The Sr. Director HR Business Partner is responsible for the design, delivery, and management of talent strategies aligned with business priorities. This role partners with senior business leaders to execute an employee experience and talent strategy that enables business outcomes and future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned business areas and translate business knowledge into a people strategy.
  • Drive key people initiatives including staffing, compensation, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Define workforce needs based on business strategy and advise on meeting those needs.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify development needs and skill gaps, collaborating with the Talent team on solutions.
  • Advise leaders on job specification development and leveling, partnering with Talent Acquisition on recruitment.
  • Oversee and guide on escalated employee relations issues.
  • Coach leaders on engagement survey feedback and action planning.
  • Facilitate the rollout of enterprise-wide HR initiatives like goal setting, performance reviews, and salary planning.
  • Partner with business leadership and corporate communications on internal messaging.
  • Act as a cultural change advocate, consultant, and business advisor.
  • Function as HR lead for assigned business area on M&A activities.
  • Ensure successful integration of acquired businesses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related degree.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Prior experience as an HR Business Partner working with senior executives in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use and interpret data.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including employment and labor laws, employee relations, talent acquisition, management & leadership development, performance management, organization design and compensation philosophies.
  • Results orientation with the ability to quickly identify problems and drive solutions.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and effective business partnerships.
  • Exceptional influencing skills coupled with a deep understanding of the business and talent.
  • Demonstrated track record of good judgment and empathy.
  • Ability to maintain a positive environment that inspires urgency, innovation, teamwork, and accountability.
