About the Role
The Baillie Group's Cayuta, NY location is looking for a Millwright to join the team. This position requires some travel and is based in our Cayuta, NY location. We are searching for a qualified individual with experience in industrial equipment repairs. This is a full-time opportunity with a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation
- Build foundation for machines
- Construct and install equipment
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics and blueprints
- Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance
- Grind and file machinery parts
- Fabricate buildings and hardwood drying equipment, including servicing and replacing dry lines, kilns, etc.
- Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and metal fabrication equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines, policies and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of at least 5 years experience as a Millwright or similar job
- Experience with Cleereman, PHL and other hardwood specialty equipment manufacturers preferred
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment
- Must be able to interface and communicate
- Ability to work independently
