About the Role
This senior Business Analyst role leads the application of AI within the analysis practice, combining hands-on AI tool usage, shaping the analysis practice's maturity, and enhancing the AI capabilities of the team. The goal is to streamline the process from stakeholder problem to well-formed requirements and development handoff using AI.
Responsibilities
- Design prompts, agents, and supporting tooling using AI to streamline analysis.
- Integrate analysis into systems and repositories.
- Shape the direction, development, and quality of the Business Analysis practice.
- Coach analysts and help them build confidence with AI-assisted ways of working.
- Partner with the Head of Technology Delivery on hiring.
- Refine the analysis side of the delivery lifecycle, identifying valuable artefacts, simplifying steps, and determining beneficial human review points.
- Consolidate product knowledge into a structured, versioned, and reliable single source of truth for people and AI systems.
- Produce clear, well-tested analysis for complex delivery work, including migration considerations, rating logic, and cross-system business rules.
Requirements
- Strong analytical foundations with experience across complex domain logic, established systems, and regulated products.
- A focus on producing clear, testable, and traceable requirements.
- May have BA leadership skills or be looking to step into the role.
- May be an individual contributor happy to share knowledge and tools without people management.
- Genuine interest in AI and hands-on experience applying it (context engineering, agent design, tool use, validation).
- Practical understanding of AI tool capabilities and limitations.
- Enjoy experimenting and building, comfortable working iteratively.
- Ability to read code to sense-check requirements.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to run workshops and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Lead in a way that others are happy to follow, sharing knowledge generously.
- At ease with complexity and finding structure within it.
- Communicate credibly with both technical and executive audiences.
