About the Role
Join Accenture’s Data & AI practice to build the next generation of AI-ready data platforms on Databricks. We are investing heavily in GenAI, Data & AI, aiming to drive real client outcomes across ANZ. As Databricks’ largest partner, we have earned Global GSI Partner of the Year recognition for seven consecutive years and APJ Industry Leader Partner of the Year 2025. You will collaborate with one of the largest certified Databricks teams in ANZ, leveraging proven assets and accelerators to design, modernize, and accelerate data journeys from strategy to implementation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
- Apply modern data architecture patterns, including data products and domain-oriented data design.
- Build scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Process distributed data using PySpark or equivalent.
- Optimize performance for batch and streaming pipelines.
- Apply coding best practices, testing, debugging, and code modularity in production environments.
- Work with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines in data engineering contexts.
- Contribute to deployment automation and release management in Lakehouse environments.
- Work independently on defined tasks while collaborating effectively with architects and senior engineers.
- Engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ownership of deliverables and contribute to problem-solving in client engagements.
- Proactively engage in continuous learning, certifications, and staying current with Databricks and cloud ecosystem advancements.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables (DLT), Unity Catalog, and Workflows.
- Experience with SQL Warehouses for analytics and performance-optimized querying.
- Working exposure to advanced Databricks capabilities like AI/BI features and agent-based workflows.
- Proven experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines across batch and streaming workloads.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, data quality frameworks, and end-to-end pipeline lifecycle management.
- Ability to apply modern data architecture patterns.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building scalable data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark (or equivalent) for distributed data processing.
- Experience working with both batch and streaming pipelines, including performance optimization.
- Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Hands-on exposure to cloud-native data services.
- Familiarity with APIs and integration patterns for connecting enterprise data systems.
- Working experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines in data engineering contexts.
- Applied understanding of DataOps and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
