About the Role
You will support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, live in inadequate housing, and are unable to overcome their social difficulties on their own. You will be a constant point of contact for residents in all everyday matters and provide practical life assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical life assistance to residents.
- Maintain the house and garden, including tidying and cleaning.
- Organize the distribution of donations (e.g., clothing, household items).
- Organize small events for residents (e.g., house flea market, barbecue).
- Mediate in conflict situations.
Requirements
- Open, helpful, and non-judgmental approach to people.
- Experience with homeless, mentally ill, or substance-dependent individuals is desirable.
- Friendly and approachable, yet clear and consistent.
- Ability to handle high work demands and demonstrate commitment.
- Good command of the German language, both spoken and written.
- Foreign language skills are desirable.
- Handicraft skills (gardening, minor repairs) are welcome.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends.
