About the Role
Palapa Logistics LLC is seeking dependable, team-oriented Last-Mile Delivery Drivers with excellent customer service skills to join our team. This role focuses on efficient package delivery to customers' homes and businesses, driving a company-provided vehicle. We offer comprehensive paid training and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate company delivery vehicles safely, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure proper handling and secure delivery of all parcels.
- Deliver 200-250+ packages daily, managing routes effectively.
- Use and maintain delivery equipment, including handheld devices.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle mileage, and cargo.
- Adhere to all company and industry regulations and policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Communicate delivery schedule changes to customers.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel.
- Inform management of obstacles to safe and efficient deliveries.
- Navigate diverse delivery routes and drive in varying weather conditions.
- Load and unload packages efficiently and safely.
- Be customer-obsessed, delivering packages and smiles.
- Lift packages up to 50 lbs.
- Get in and out of a delivery van and walk up and down stairs throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Eligible to work legally in the U.S.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Ability to commute to Staten Island.
- Full-time availability preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- English language proficiency.
