About the Role

Teradyne is seeking a Photonics Field Product Specialist to join our Silicon Photonics Test business. You will collaborate with engineering and field application engineers to build strategic customer relationships, provide expert technical advice, and drive product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

Provide expert advice to customers, Sales, FAE’s and support staff.
Work closely with sales/marketing management and product software/hardware staff to ensure prompt and accurate communication of technical information.
Master Teradyne products, product applications, and policies.
Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements.
Identify customer challenges and suggest effective solutions.
Develop, coordinate, and deliver product demonstrations showcasing solution value.
Collaborate with customers to define projects, identify new opportunities, and support existing sustainment activities.
Communicate detailed information regarding product application, sizing, and competitive positioning.
Develop customer relationships, focusing on technical/operation decision makers.
Stay informed on competitors, industry news, trends, products, services, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Minimum BSEE, BSCS or related field or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of industry experience.
At least 3 years of photonics product development or product management experience.
General understanding of Photonics industry trends, competitive products, and product positioning.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Initiative to set up and drive customer engagement.
Ability to work globally with customers.
Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
Strong presentation skills and ability to synthesize data.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 40%.
