About the Role

Represent the Customer Engagement team globally as the senior security voice in Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. This role involves direct engagement with enterprise customers, collaboration with global security and product teams, and shaping how security enables business growth. You will operate with autonomy, owning customer security engagements end-to-end, providing expert guidance, and reducing security-related friction during the sales cycle. Your expertise will enhance customer relationships, trust, satisfaction, and brand reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the information security narrative for the region, acting as the senior escalation point for complex customer security matters.
  • Represent the voice of the customer within the global security organisation.
  • Serve as the sole in-region Information Security Customer Engagement resource.
  • Partner closely with sales, go-to-market, and product management teams.
  • Lead customer security engagement calls and complete security questionnaires.
  • Provide timely expert support to win and retain business.
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards across all customer interactions.
  • Curate and maintain local Trust Center content and customer-facing security materials.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to bring relevant security capabilities into the product roadmap.
  • Help reduce the volume and complexity of customer security reviews.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across security engagement activities.
  • Support additional business engagement and compliance activities as required.

Requirements

  • A deep, hands-on understanding of information security principles, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Comfort engaging directly with customer security, legal, and procurement teams.
  • Ability to confidently discuss complex security topics.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously as the sole information security customer engagement resource within a region.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex security concepts clearly.
  • Ability to build trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and automate workflows.
  • Apply sound judgement to security-related activities such as questionnaire responses and assurance processes.
  • 10+ years' experience in information security.
  • Significant experience in customer-facing security assurance, GRC, or pre-sales security within a software or SaaS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks and regulations including ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and New Zealand Privacy Act.
  • Familiarity with government assurance frameworks such as IRAP and NZISM is highly regarded.
