About the Role
This role is responsible for building and implementing AI and automation across The Local Project, a leading design media business. The position reports directly to the Founder and CEO and will define the operational future of the company for the next decade.
Responsibilities
- Own AI and automation across the entire business.
- Configure and deploy Claude Enterprise company-wide, including SSO, permissions, data governance, connector stack, and onboarding.
- Build and embed AI playbooks for every department (Editorial, Production, Partnerships, Digital, Marketing, Events, Leadership, Operations, Finance, and HR).
- Design workflows, build Skills, train teams, and ensure adoption of AI solutions.
- Build a multi-component system for the partnerships and sales lifecycle, covering pre-pipeline intelligence, inbound automation, proposal generation, client delivery, and renewal.
- Own TLP's automation layer, Skills library, tooling decisions, vendor spend, and capability development as a standing function of the business.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AI, specifically Claude (Projects, Skills, connectors, MCP).
- Ability to integrate Claude into business systems using tools like Zapier.
- Experience leading at least one company-wide rollout that changed how people work.
- Ability to discuss honestly what broke and what would be done differently in past rollouts.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders with varying levels of AI comfort and experience.
- Ability to discuss commercial pipeline, margin, and cost per output, and measure work in these terms.
