About the Role

This team comprises highly specialized resources in ASC 740, provision process, and internal controls over the tax provision. As a member, you will work closely with leaders to serve companies needing assistance with tax accounting for transactions or their ongoing tax provision process. You will become a trusted business advisor to clients while helping organizations grow and benefit from mentorship by recognized tax professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of processes, solutions, and projects by executing agreed activities, applying judgment, and selecting appropriate methodologies.
  • Be accountable for meeting own targets, which impact the immediate team.
  • Help coordinate the work of junior colleagues.
  • Meet performance objectives and metrics set locally, including client service, quality and risk management, solution development, and teaming.
  • Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Implement procedures and guidelines.
  • Define and execute deliverables.
  • Track project status.
  • Maintain engagement economics reports.
  • Help organizations meet tax regulatory requirements, enhance their tax control environment, and manage tax risks by providing advisory services.
  • Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
  • Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assess tax risk and control environments inclusive of and beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
  • Identify, recommend, and assist in implementing improvements to tax reporting, compliance, and accounting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree) in Accounting or related field; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
  • Typically, no less than 2 - 4 years of relevant tax or legal experience
  • Progress toward (or completion of) a valid CPA certification or licensed attorney status
  • Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation

Salary/Compensations

  • US base salary range: $91,100 to $150,200
  • New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) base salary range: $109,400 to $170,600
