About the Role

The Center for Youth partners with youth to realize their full potential by creating opportunities, removing barriers, and promoting social justice. Our free, confidential, and voluntary 13-bed shelter serves youth aged 12-17 for up to 30 days, providing individualized support to help them reunite with families or find stable housing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise wake-up, clean-up, daily chores, and bedtime routines.
• Distribute medications and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Serve as a liaison with Intake and Emergency Shelter Support (Counseling) teams.
• Provide individual counseling and mentoring.
• Respond to after-hour assessments and intake of youth in need.
• Develop and supervise social, cultural, and recreational activities.
• Engage in crisis/conflict prevention, response, and intervention.
• Maintain accurate and timely program records.
• Maintain the facility and grounds.
• Plan and prepare daily meals.

Requirements

• High School Degree OR GED OR equivalent combination.
• 1 year of human service experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license.
• Background check.
• Driving record check.
• Automobile insurance that meets agency insurance carrier requirements.
