About the Role
As a member of the Raptors Game Operations team, you will deliver championship service to ensure every fan has a memorable experience by executing on-court activities and in-arena promotions at all Raptors home games.
Responsibilities
- Be energetic and exciting entertainers with the ability to wow fans with high-energy dance moves, cheering, tumbling, and/or stunts.
- Actively participate in crowd cheers, distribution of game giveaways, and other fun interactive games/activities.
- Select contestants for on-court/in-stand contests and promotions.
- Ensure contestants clearly understand and are prepared to participate in the promotion and/or activity.
- Explain contestant waivers and ensure accurate completion.
- Set up, execute, and tear down all pre-game, halftime, and post-game promotions (signage, props, etc.).
- Assist with preparation and organization of all giveaways at Raptors 905 home games.
- Organize and prepare all promotions per the game script and ensure execution within the designated time frame.
- Interact and communicate positively and professionally with all MLSE staff and fans.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Ideal candidates are located in the GTA and able to reliably commute to the Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre in Mississauga, ON for work.
- Must be energetic, creative, dedicated, charismatic, and reliable.
- Must be flexible to work weekday shifts, weekends, and holidays during the day and evening.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 60% of Raptors 905 home games, possible playoff games, special events, and scheduled rehearsals.
- Must be an enthusiastic team player who enjoys interaction with fans of all ages.
- Must have a solid knowledge of the game of basketball.
- Must be able to take direction and show initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must work with enthusiasm and professionalism always.
- Must have a championship-winning attitude.
