About the Role

The Pro Bono Coordinator will support Gibson Dunn's pro bono initiatives and operations, reporting to the Pro Bono Chair. This role is based in Los Angeles, New York, or Washington D.C.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Pro Bono Practice to support firm initiatives, including case management for large-scale projects.
  • Implement and maintain tracking systems for pro bono matters, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Assist with the organization, intake, and review of new pro bono matters.
  • Maintain a library of sample documents and prior work product for pro bono representations.
  • Interface with pro bono clients, legal services organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate attorney representation.
  • Manage the firm’s pro bono practice calendar, including trainings, events, and deadlines.
  • Maintain a tracker of pro bono collaborations with corporate clients and assist with developing future opportunities.
  • Prepare and analyze statistical and narrative reports for various publications and organizations.
  • Assist with the production of the annual Pro Bono Report, including compiling summaries and coordinating submissions.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating pro bono materials on the firm’s websites.
  • Support the preparation and submission of award nominations and recognition materials.
  • Assist attorneys in locating relevant pro bono materials.
  • Prepare presentations and supporting materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the department.
  • Partner with the Pro Bono Practice to support and expand strategic marketing initiatives.

  • Proven resourcefulness, creativity, and initiative.
  • Strong project management and program coordination experience.
  • Ability to drive long-term projects to completion.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Experience Level
