About the Role

SFAF's Health Services for People Who Use Drugs (PWUD) program is one of the largest PWUD health engagement and safer supply access programs in California. The Contingency Management and Treatment Connections Coordinator supports this program by managing day-to-day operations for contingency management and 4-week MOUD stabilization programs, utilizing a proactive counseling approach and motivational interviewing to connect individuals to care.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day Contingency Management and MOUD support, program operations, delivery of interventions, client relations, recruitment, outreach, and retention.
Provide group facilitation three evenings per week, manage specimen collection, conduct weekly client check-ins, and assist with program recruitment.
Document and enter all program data accurately and timely according to program protocols.
Engage and link individuals to internal and external substance use and medical care services, including MOUD with buprenorphine, methadone, and other in-patient or outpatient programs.
Provide on-site treatment connections, including referrals and linkage to substance use disorder treatment, medical care, HIV, HCV and STI testing, vaccinations, and other health and social services at the 6th St Center, mobile sites, and through street outreach.
Coordinate administrative operations for the Contingency Management Program, including group charting, documentation, data reporting, and management/tracking of incentives and group materials.

Requirements

Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Knowledge of health, substance use treatment, and social services in San Francisco.
Ability and willingness to handle biological specimens (urine) and follow all testing and safety protocols.
Group facilitation experience and ability to implement de-escalation techniques, follow safety protocols, and use sound judgment in making independent decisions.
Experience using motivational interviewing and strong understanding of client-centered practices and principles.
Experience with care navigation is preferred.
Understanding of overdose prevention, recognition, and response, and HIV/HCV disease prevention and treatment.
Minimum of three years' experience working with people who use drugs, highly marginalized people, or people experiencing homelessness.
Proof of a valid California driver's license with an excellent driving record and driver's insurance is preferred.

$35 - $37 per hour

Benefits

Combined PTO/Sick Time Off of 27+ days for the first two years of employment, 32+ days after two years of employment.
403(b) Plan with SFAF matching employee contributions (1 to 1) up to 3% of salary.
