About the Role
Altis is expanding its Founding Engineering team to drive product offerings and take ownership of various tech stack components. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate with the existing engineering team on architecture and roadmap, and contribute to scaling the team from two engineers to approximately ten. A key initial focus will be integrating a product mindset into the roadmap to accelerate research processes.
Responsibilities
- Share and own the roadmap and delivery of Altis's internal research-enablement tooling, focusing on reducing report production time.
- Commit to and meet engineering delivery dates, or flag slippage early and clearly.
- Partner with the existing engineering team on architecture decisions, including API/MCP access for customers.
- Serve as a technical thought partner to the CEO on product and roadmap tradeoffs.
- Establish engineering processes (planning, review, ownership) for a growing team.
- Assist in designing and running the technical interview process as the team scales.
Requirements
- A proven history of shipping adopted software products.
- Comfort with owning and communicating delivery timelines, including proactive risk identification.
- Strong communication skills with technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with AI-native, LLM- or RAG-powered products.
