About the Role

Rise Vision is seeking a Financial Controller to ensure predictable cash flow forecasting by maintaining daily cash and profit results. This role is responsible for implementing internal controls, managing financial assets, and meeting regulatory reporting and payment requirements. The Controller will lead the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, managing auditor relationships, and resolving discrepancies through process improvement.

Responsibilities

Ensure predictable cash flow forecasting by maintaining daily cash and profit results.
Implement internal controls to accurately and securely account for financial assets.
Meet all regulatory reporting and payment requirements.
Manage the accounting team and ensure processes provide timely, accurate financial reporting.
Complete all reporting within required timelines, including monthly reports to management and the parent company, AUO.
Manage the relationship with auditors and ensure the annual audit/review is completed with a clean opinion.
Resolve discrepancies through process improvement and implementation of new processes.
Lead the accounting team, ensuring execution and continuous improvement of tactics and processes.
Ensure team members have clear visibility on their respective critical numbers for quantitative accounting.
Create and maintain a culture of trust, candor, transparency, growth, learning, empowerment, performance, and accountability.
Ensure team members contribute at an A Player level and address performance gaps.

Requirements

7 - 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
3 - 5+ years as a Controller
2+ years experience working for a SAAS company in a leadership role
Experience with month-end/year-end close processes
Experience with audits (internal and external)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
Understanding of tax compliance and regulatory requirements across Canada, US and Europe
Knowledge of internal controls and processes
Track record managing staff
Availability and willingness to work at a senior level yet dive into the transaction level detail and assist as required
Proficiency with NetSuite ERP
Advanced Excel skills
Strong oral and written communication
