About the Role
SF Oral Surgery is seeking a caring, reliable, and growth-oriented Surgical Dental Assistant to join their passionate team. This role is essential in providing excellent patient care and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey in a high-tech, fast-paced oral surgery practice.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in oral surgery procedures (local & IV sedation)
- Preparing trays, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining stock
- Recording vitals, assisting in consults, and supporting patients throughout their visit
- Preparing medications, assisting with anesthesia, and delivering clear post-op instructions
- Taking x-rays, impressions, and photos as needed
- Ensuring smooth communication with referral doctors and keeping treatment plans organized
Requirements
- Hep B & Tetanus vaccinations
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, Infection Control, and X-ray License certifications
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant Certification (preferred)
- Consistent reliability
- Willingness to be on-call
- Ability to work on your feet
