About the Role
Porters are responsible for maintaining the facility's neat and presentable appearance through basic maintenance tasks, including trash removal, front lobby support, and restroom restocking.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets, and clean ceiling vents.
- Perform restroom cleaning.
- Ensure the building entrance is free of clutter.
- Fix minor technical issues, such as changing light bulbs.
- Report damages, call technicians, and monitor repairs.
- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies.
- Place safety hazard signs, including wet paint and wet floor warnings.
- Respond to major spills and other cleaning emergencies.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Follow evacuation procedures during emergencies.
Requirements
- Previous work experience as a Porter, Janitor, or Custodian.
- Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning equipment.
- Good physical condition, stamina, and strength.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40+ pounds throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with security regulations.
- Solid verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, technicians, and customers.
- Availability for shifts, including flexible schedules (weekends and evenings).
- Reliability and professionalism.
- Willingness to wear the company uniform.
