About the Role

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking passionate engineers to contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of state-of-the-art submarines for the U.S. Navy. This role involves supporting new design fast attack programs within VIRGINIA Class and the next generation attack boat SSN(X), focusing on propulsion plant and non-propulsion components.

Responsibilities

• Perform project management tasks including program planning, specification and procedure development.
• Prepare technical correspondence and review technical manuals.
• Coordinate with other Electric Boat departments.
• Review vendor deliverables such as drawings, design reports, procedures, technical correspondence, calculations, and test reports.
• Provide qualification and production test support.
• Conduct supplier oversight.
• Manage cost and schedule control.
• Interface regularly with other engineering disciplines, management, naval personnel, prime contractor technical personnel, vendors, purchasing/supply-chain, quality control, trades, and other Electric Boat support personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Marine Engineering
• 5 years+ of post graduate engineering experience
• Component development experience
• Program and/or project management experience
