About the Role

The Marketing Associate provides essential support for all marketing activities across Durst’s commercial and residential portfolios, reporting to the Marketing Manager. This individual is a core member of the marketing and communications teams, contributing to projects through exceptional organization, thoughtful coordination, confident communication, strong writing, and solid design sensibility. This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on across an iconic real estate portfolio at a company that has shaped New York City's skyline for over 110 years.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and evolution of marketing campaigns, including messaging, branding, visuals, and media.
  • Participate in social media ideation, storyboarding, content creation, and editing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments on photo shoots, videography, signage installations, display production, leasing reports, and proposals.
  • Support the creation of project timelines and ensure adherence, handling reminders and escalations as needed.
  • Utilize Monday (project management software) to track, update, and report on projects.
  • Collate and report on metrics such as social media, advertising campaigns, and email distributions.
  • Ensure collateral (flyers, roundups, floorplans, brochures) is up to date, manage revisions, and upload promptly to applicable systems.
  • Manage inventories of collateral and marketing displays in various locations.
  • Monitor property websites and listings to ensure content, imagery, and functionality remain current and optimized.
  • Routinely walk commercial marketing floors, residential models, and amenity spaces to ensure show-ready condition and customer experience.
  • Take ownership of portfolio elevator screens and tenant welcomes, including auditing content, updating artwork, and coordinating timing and approvals.
  • Assemble Purchase Orders (PO), Work Orders (WO), and Check Requests as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven prior experience with commercial real estate marketing functions, including advertising, branding, graphics, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Driven self-starter with a passion for excellence and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate marketing.
  • Knowledge of residential marketing is a plus.
  • Firm understanding of real estate basics, including ability to read floorplans, knowledge of basic building components/terms, and familiarity with renderings.
  • Experience with branding, messaging, marketing campaigns, and social media marketing.
  • Aesthetic sensibility with an eye for visual composition.
  • Flexible with a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Robust communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Superior organization and time management skills, with great attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Complete proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere preferred.
