About the Role

Greet members and provide concierge service, assisting them with Personal Teller Machine usage and convenience services. Set up mobile, online, and e-Banking. Advise members on opening deposit accounts and refer them for loans, financial planning, investments, and insurance. Increase member relationships through proactive sales consultations and cross-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members by name and smile, assisting them in utilizing the PTM.
  • Communicate effectively, listen, and ask questions to develop customized financial solutions.
  • Listen to members, identify pre-approvals for referral opportunities, ask probing questions, cross-sell products, and telemarket for promotions.
  • Open and close checking, savings, money market, and CD/IRA accounts following credit union policies.
  • Identify and refer loan opportunities to appropriate personnel.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to serve members further using the Mini-FiNap process.
  • Present features and benefits of deposit products and services and close sales.
  • Educate members on convenience services like mobile, e-banking, bill pay, direct deposit, ATM, and shared branches.
  • Telemarket and follow up on new accounts to ensure full utilization of deposit accounts and convenience services.
  • Use good judgment when establishing new accounts and accepting deposits to minimize risk.
  • Prioritize and follow up on all pending work and sales opportunities.
  • Work as a team player, prioritize tasks, and handle high volume traffic.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area.
  • Support other branches when necessary.
  • Conduct oneself in an ethical manner and hold others accountable to the organization's values and standards.
  • Ask questions, seek guidance, and report concerns or violations of company policy or ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Six months of customer service/sales experience.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to input, extract, and read data and Standard English on a PC.
  • Very good verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to use multiple system programs simultaneously.
  • Regularly use hands to handle, feel, and communicate.
  • Apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding.
  • Frequently sit for extended periods, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and smell.
  • Frequently hear and speak to use the telephone, make presentations, and communicate in an office environment.
  • Occasionally sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
