About the Role
This entry-level role is designed for candidates ready to develop the skills required for safe, compliant, and professional transport of high-value assets. As a trainee, you will learn to operate armored vehicles, handle secure cargo, and provide outstanding customer service while adhering to all safety and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Train in the safe operation of armored company vehicles under the guidance of experienced drivers.
- Assist with secure loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Document deliveries with accuracy and maintain all required paperwork.
- Safely transport goods to client locations, managing items up to 70 pounds and assisting with heavy carts when necessary.
- Provide professional on-site and remote communication with clients.
- Learn and apply security protocols for handling valuable cargo and maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record.
- Ability to lift at least 70 pounds and to push/pull carts loaded with cargo weighing up to several hundred pounds.
- Ability to attain a New York State firearms permit.
- Ability to complete U.S. Department of Transportation medical certification.
- Prior experience as an armored car driver or messenger is preferred but not required.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
