Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and effective documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Provide clear and understandable documentation.
- Promote and oversee child safety and well-being through procedures and awareness.
- Attend to children's personal care and program needs.
- Communicate medical and dietary concerns to the nursing and administrative team.
- Provide support, consultation, and peer support among participants.
- Promote student input in program activity development.
- Oversee equipment and supply maintenance.
- Participate in treatment team activities, including meetings and trainings.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Establish a positive work environment that supports communication and agency culture.
- Ensure compliance with government and agency regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse and current NYS Registration Certificate.
- One-Step TB test required prior to first day of employment.
- Ability to lift and/or assist children and meet physical job requirements.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel).
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
- Fingerprinting for a criminal history record check is required due to regular unsupervised contact with individuals receiving services.
