About the Role

Grace seeks an energetic receptionist to serve as the initial point of contact for students, families, faculty, staff, and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional environment. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, answering phones, coordinating visitor access, and performing other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen and route telephone calls.
  • Greet children, families, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Partner with Security to manage daily sign-in/sign-out procedures and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Respond to routine questions and direct more complex matters to the appropriate staff member.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Provide daily lunch coverage and partial day coverage at our Lower School as needed.
  • Support the administrative team with data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks as needed.
  • Help uphold health, safety, and compliance protocols.
  • Coordinate with the School’s other Front Desk Receptionist to ensure seamless coverage and continuity of service throughout the week.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of receptionist or customer service experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to move between two nearby school buildings as needed throughout the workday to ensure proper coverage.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers and printers.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a welcoming demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and willingness to learn new software, including visitor management systems and student information systems.
