About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Protective Services to lead protective operations, reporting to the Director, Protective Services. This is a build-and-execute mandate where you own decisions for staffing, assignments, protection strategy, spending, vendor selection, training, and incident handling. This player-coach role requires you to work advances, travel with protectees, and take your turn in rotation while setting the team's standard. Protection is a service that enables protectees to move through their lives with minimal friction and builds trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead protective operations, owning staffing, assignment, protective decisions, resourcing, and response.
  • Own training and standards, setting training content, qualifications, and currency verification.
  • Own vendor and supplier management, including procurement and approval thresholds.
  • Own incident response, serving as the escalation point and making real-time calls.
  • Lead converged physical-cyber protection by working with Protective Intelligence and Cyber Protective Services.
  • Build relationships with protectees, their families, and teams to foster trust and minimize friction.

Requirements

  • Ten or more years in protective, security, or military operations.
  • Five or more years managing people with hands-on responsibility for protective operations.
  • Held real decision authority, not just advised.
  • Ability to build or scale protective capability and set standards, qualifications, and procedures.
  • Experience running more than one protective discipline or program simultaneously.
  • Technical fluency across physical and cyber security, understanding networked systems and security concepts.
  • Service orientation and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Record of partnering with intelligence, cybersecurity, legal, and business teams.
  • Willingness to travel around 35 percent, with peaks near 50 percent, often on short notice.
  • Availability for protective events and escalations outside working hours.
  • Physical readiness for demanding work environments and tasks.
  • Endurance for working in extreme conditions, irregular hours, and maintaining decision-making ability.
