About the Role
This role supports, develops, and executes environmental programs at multiple manufacturing sites, providing technical guidance on environmental compliance and managing environmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on laws and regulations impacting environmental compliance.
- Identify, plan, and execute complex environmental projects.
- Evaluate environmental permitting needs, write and review permit applications, and ensure permit compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely submittal of environmental compliance reports.
- Develop and implement Environmental Management System (EMS) components, including policy writing, training, and compliance auditing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
- 7+ years of environmental engineering and compliance experience.
- Strong initiative.
- Highly developed leadership skills.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Up to 25% travel.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- Must be at least 18 years or older.
- Extensive experience in a primary environmental support role for a manufacturing or multi-site manufacturing operation (preferred).
- Experience in primary and secondary wastewater treatment processes (preferred).
- Experience across multiple environmental programs, including air permitting and waste characterization (preferred).
- Experience building and executing environmental management systems (preferred).
- Experience in developing and supporting the execution of complex capital projects (preferred).
