About the Role

The Senior Applications Administrator is responsible for the health, performance, and evolution of core business applications, primarily Salesforce CRM and secondarily Kantata SX PSA. This role translates business goals into scalable system designs, focusing on optimization, governance, and AI-assisted workflows to enhance customer views and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement of Salesforce CRM and support Kantata SX, identifying and implementing enhancements for scale.
  • Own platform configuration, data models, automation, integrations, and solution architecture.
  • Tune system performance and monitor health, capacity, and reliability.
  • Establish and enforce strong governance and controls over system performance, configuration, and change.
  • Maintain disciplined sandbox, release, and version control practices.
  • Manage user access, roles, profiles, and permissions under a least privilege model.
  • Follow a rigorous end-to-end development lifecycle: requirements intake, design, build, test, UAT, deployment, and post-release validation.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, test plans, and runbooks.
  • Apply structured change and release management to all production changes.
  • Direct and quality-check the work of offshore consultants and vendor partners.
  • Manage day-to-day execution, code and configuration review, and knowledge transfer with partners.
  • Hold partners accountable to timelines, quality, and defined scope.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business vision and translate it into scalable solutions.
  • Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead requirements discovery and present options with a clear recommended path.
  • Lead the SteerCo for CRM and PSA, owning the agenda, framing decisions, and driving alignment on priorities and roadmap.
  • Stay ahead of platform roadmaps, evaluate new functionality and technologies, and present recommendations.
  • Run controlled pilots and proofs of concept to validate value before adoption.
  • Serve as an advocate and driver of AI-assisted methods across development, testing, and optimization.
  • Use AI tools, specifically Claude, to accelerate solution design, generate and review configuration and code, build and execute test cases, document systems, and analyze performance.
  • Champion responsible, governed AI use and help mature AI adoption practices.
  • Ensure systems and processes adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks (CMMC, HIPAA, SOX, SOC 2).
  • Partner with IT Security and identity governance on data protection, access certification, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain evidence and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Tie all work to broader business objectives, understanding how CRM and PSA support a 360-degree customer view.
  • Prioritize the backlog by business value and connect enhancements to measurable outcomes.
  • Operate to defined operational excellence standards, including KPI performance and continuous improvement.
  • Define, monitor, and report on system and service KPIs, and act on trends.
  • Drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  • Keep the user experience and customers at the center of every decision.
  • Gather user feedback, measure adoption, and design for clarity, usability, and trust in the data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of hands-on applications administration experience.
  • Demonstrated senior-level ownership of an enterprise platform.
  • Highly proficient in Salesforce administration and optimization, including configuration, automation/Flow, data management, reporting, security model, and release management.
  • Proficiency with AI tools, specifically Claude, applied to real development, testing, and optimization work.
