About the Role

The University of Texas Golf Club is a private club dedicated to exceptional hospitality and member experience. The culinary department is central to this mission. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook who excels in execution, consistency, and teamwork within a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and management specifications
  • Execute dishes in alignment with cooking temperatures, plating standards, and ticket time expectations
  • Work multiple stations within the kitchen as assigned
  • Maintain clean and organized food preparation areas throughout each shift
  • Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures are followed
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, mixers, blenders, and other appliances
  • Assist other cooks and kitchen team members during service as needed
  • Follow all health department regulations and food safety standards
  • Adhere to all instructions and direction from culinary leadership in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate cooking techniques with consistency
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stations in a fast paced environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Professional, team oriented mindset with clear communication skills
  • Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
