About the Role
Lead a sales team to create an exceptional customer experience, driving market share and achieving targeted sales and profit margins.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sales team in alignment with AutoNation's Vision and Mission.
- Set clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales and profit.
- Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations, and best practice processes.
- Drive business through high-level involvement in day-to-day operations.
- Manage the negotiation process, ensuring customers understand vehicle purchase options and pricing.
- Appraise vehicles for trade.
- Manage customer traffic across showroom, e-commerce, and phone channels.
- Partner with General Manager and/or General Sales Manager to plan and manage new and used vehicle inventory.
- Assist in managing controllable expense elements for New and Used Vehicle Departments.
- Analyze business performance to identify shortfalls and develop action plans for improvement.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven success in auto retail sales.
- Proven leadership ability to mentor and train others.
- Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
- Ability to drive an exceptional Customer experience.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organization and follow-up skills.
- Experience and desire to work with technology.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

Salary/Compensations
- Commission-based position with average monthly take home of $6,000-$12,000.
