About the Role
As a Senior Sales Trader, you will execute the strategy of the Equity Distribution business, execute trades, and provide advisory market content in your relevant product/sector/market, aligning with the Function’s trading strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Create and deliver high-value added financial analysis to targeted universe of clients and prospects.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to cross-sell other products offered by the bank.
- Provide input on the strategic direction of the group and professional development of team members.
- Develop and cultivate strong client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with other parts of the bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the deal teams on setting appropriate project initiatives, executing pitches to prospective clients, ensuring overall successful transactions are undertaken in an efficient manner, and developing junior members of the team to accelerate their careers.
- Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks.
- Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated.
Requirements
- Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge.
- Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue.
- Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges and seizing opportunities as they arise.
- Proven ability to coach and encourage a diverse team of talented individuals to achieve outstanding results.
