About the Role
Holland Bikes aims to introduce the Dutch daily cycling tradition as an alternative transportation method in cities. This role involves creating unforgettable moments for guests by leading 2.5-hour bike tours, sharing historical and architectural insights, and ensuring guest comfort and enjoyment.
Responsibilities
- Lead guests on 2.5-hour bike tours through the city.
- Explain the city’s history, architecture, fun facts, and hidden gems.
- Take pictures of guests during the tour.
- Answer guest questions.
- Ensure all guests are comfortable and having fun.
- Maintain a calm and smiling demeanor, even in stressful situations.
Requirements
- No prior experience as a tour guide is necessary; training and coaching will be provided.
- Study provided handbooks and scripts.
- Enjoy riding a bike and be comfortable riding in traffic.
- Monitor the safety and completeness of the group.
- Exhibit amazing hospitality with a warm, approachable manner and great listening skills.
- Be able to 'read the room' and gauge guest enjoyment.
- Be an excellent presenter.
- Take pride in the job and the memories created for guests.
- Be fluent in Dutch and English.
- Possess authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
