About the Role
The Casual Teammate performs routine labor in various locations within restaurants and cafes, including dish rooms, dining areas, retail shops, and stock rooms. This role is essential for providing services that positively impact campus life.
Responsibilities
- Works in stations to prepare and serve food
- Ensures that pots and pans are clean, dried, and put away
- Maintains cleanliness of the dish room throughout the shift
- Washes tables and chairs in the dining area as needed
- Removes trash from dining areas and cleans garbage cans
- Replenishes napkins, silverware, and condiments
- Cleans toaster and microwave areas
- Assists with stocking items
- Follows FIFO rules, plan-o-grams, and par sheets
- Understands and follows health codes and policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
- Occasional computer use
