About the Role

The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority is seeking individuals dedicated to maintaining a clean airport environment for the benefit of travelers and visitors. This role requires flexibility to work any shift due to 24/7 airport operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine manual work involving building cleaning and general labor tasks.
• Scrubs, mops, waxes, sweeps, and polishes floors.
• Utilizes manual cleaning tools and mechanized cleaning equipment.
• Dusts and polishes furniture.
• Washes windows, blinds, woodwork, toilets, washrooms, and fixtures.
• Cleans high areas such as ceiling light fixtures and room ventilation apparatus.
• Moves furniture and equipment as directed.
• Prepares building facilities for organizational activities and special events.
• Collects and disposes of paper and rubbish.
• Refills soap, toilet tissue, and paper towel containers.
• Loads and unloads delivery trucks, transports supplies, and assists in handling heavy articles.
• Washes outside windows and polices outside property to keep it free from trash and refuse.
• Clears snow and salts walkways, driveways, and parking areas with snow removal equipment.
• Performs related work as required.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete E-Verify I9 process.
• Any offer of employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment background check and security clearance, and pre-employment drug test.
• Testing positive for marijuana is a disqualifier.

Skills

• Working knowledge of custodial work methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, move arms and hands, stretch, stand, and walk for long periods.
