About the Role
Manage the Export/Import compliance activities of Lactalis Deli, Inc. to ensure adherence with all applicable laws and regulations and improve operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all export transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations by coordinating with local subsidiaries and sales/marketing teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization through understanding of global trade regulations, international supply chain, and customs documentation.
- Develop, update, and maintain export compliance processes and policies.
- Liaise with Quality Departments to issue required documentation for product registration with foreign governments.
- Manage all required export sanitary registration documentation, including Authorization Letters and Certificates of Free Sale.
- Complete and sign COOs/FTAs and maintain relevant records.
- Complete/update Factory Registrations (e.g., FDA ELM, Korea MFDS).
- Assist with Commodity Customs Classifications as needed.
- Manage USDA AMS Documentation Audits.
- Manage/update/maintain Food Facility Registrations (40+ factories).
- Assist Foreign Factories with FDA Inspection Questionnaires.
- Maintain FSVP Importer Program details, including product/customer lists and agreement letters.
- Coordinate administration of the FSVP Program with the Corporate Quality Team.
- Stay current on import regulations (FDA, Customs) and Trade Actions, implementing necessary actions for compliance.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a College or University.
- Two+ years of related experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin is a must.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain rigorous accuracy/quality standards.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and a complex workload.
- Team player able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make effective autonomous decisions.
- Basic French and/or Spanish is a plus but not required.
