Responsibilities
- Adhere to Tool Room schedule and report to the tool room supervisor
- Run Wire EDM Machines, including job and workpiece setup
- Run CNC machines, including job and workpiece setup
- Log work and hours performed
- Maintain EDM and CNC machines to ensure good working order
- Perform basic machining (e.g., surface grinding, lathe work)
- Read technical prints, including understanding of GD&T
- Perform metrology tasks
- Maintain and verify Tool Crib Inventory
- Place purchase requisitions for the tool room
- Perform heat treatment of tool steels
- Follow safety regulations and requirements
- Perform basic housekeeping
- Support the tool room
- Call vendors for support on machines
Requirements
- Machining experience
- Metrology experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Wire EDM Machine Operation and Basic Maintenance
- CNC Machine Operation and Basic Maintenance
- Heat Treatment experience
- Basic Math skills
