About the Role
The IT Data Modeler is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support insurance operations, reporting, analytics, underwriting, claims, policy administration, risk management, and regulatory reporting. The role requires strong expertise in insurance data concepts, relational database design, data modeling methodologies, and data governance practices.
Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Create models for Policy, Claims, Billing, Customer, Broker, Risk, Coverage, and Reinsurance domains.
- Develop dimensional models for reporting and analytics.
- Maintain source-to-target mappings, metadata, and data dictionaries.
- Support database optimization, data quality, governance, audit, and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with Business, Architecture, Engineering, and Analytics teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years Data Modeling and Database Design experience.
- 3+ years Property & Casualty Insurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of insurance business processes and enterprise data structures.
