About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular full-time Manager, Strategic Initiatives for the Inclusion, Sustainability and Engagement (ISE) team. This role focuses on translating diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities into actionable plans, removing systemic barriers, and strengthening inclusive practices to achieve measurable outcomes. It is ideal for individuals with strategic thinking and strong execution skills who enjoy influencing change through collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Translate organizational commitments into practical plans, deliverables, and outcomes that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and gaps to help leaders make informed decisions and proactively address challenges.
  • Guide large-scale, multi-phase initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create alignment among diverse perspectives and advance shared priorities through relationship building and influence across teams.
  • Evaluate results, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen the long-term impact of initiatives using data, insights, and performance measures.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups and committees that support inclusive practices and sustainable organizational change.

Requirements

  • A university degree in social sciences, public administration, human resources management, business, organizational development or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in strategy, organizational development, human resources management (HRM), diversity, equity, and inclusion, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and deliver complex initiatives from strategy through execution and implementation.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

Salary/Compensations

  • $114,800 - $135,100
