About the Role

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as a Construction Technology Specialist within the eConstruction Section. This role involves leading training and guidance for the Construction Management IT System (CMS) and related technologies, requiring expert knowledge and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, coordination, and implementation of training curricula and guidance materials for software users.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure training and guidance resources are current and updated consistently.
  • Utilize SharePoint to host, maintain, and publish training and guidance resources, ensuring user access and navigation.
  • Maintain expert-level skills as a user of the Agency's Construction Management System and related technologies.
  • Stay informed about the Agency's construction and materials business processes for incorporation into training and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, data analysis, geographic information systems, information technology or other closely related field AND four (4) or more years of experience in a technical support role in a field related to construction.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering, data science, data analysis, geographic information systems, information technology or other closely related field AND six (6) or more years of experience in a technical support role in a field related to construction.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience in a technical support role in a field related to construction.
