About the Role
Austin Country Club is seeking a full-time Bartender for its historic Harvey's Bar. This role involves creating exceptional member experiences through expert beverage service and maintaining a high standard of bar operations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the bar to ensure readiness for service.
- Prepare garnishes, ingredients, and pre-mixed drinks.
- Maintain bar stock levels.
- Engage with members, offering recommendations.
- Mix and serve drinks with precision.
- Provide first-class service exceeding expectations.
- Maintain bar cleanliness and organization, adhering to health codes.
- Keep records for stock management.
- Clean and lock the bar following closing procedures.
- Store items correctly.
- Support colleagues and contribute to club events and special occasions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in bartending, restaurant, or barista work.
- Current TABC and Texas Food Handler certifications.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
- Ability to prepare classic and creative drinks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Team-player attitude.
- Ability to remain calm during busy periods.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to stay on feet for most of the shift.
- Basic computer skills are ideal.
