About the Role

Performance Management is crucial for reinforcing culture, developing talent, and driving business results at SoFi. This Principal Program Manager will own the strategy, design, and evolution of enterprise Performance Management programs, acting as the subject matter expert and thought partner. The role involves continuously improving the employee and manager experience, influencing enterprise talent strategy, and ensuring performance programs evolve with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Own Enterprise Performance Management strategy, design, governance, and execution, including annual employee performance, executive performance, and semi-annual scorecard processes.
  • Establish a long-term roadmap for goal setting, feedback delivery, performance evaluation, and recognition.
  • Ensure performance programs reinforce accountability, development, differentiation, and business performance.
  • Continuously evaluate program effectiveness using employee feedback, operational metrics, and business insights.
  • Design improvements to simplify processes, strengthen manager capability, and improve adoption.
  • Guide the Talent Development team to create manager enablement resources for performance conversations.
  • Serve as a strategic partner for HR Business Partners, Compensation, HR Technology, Internal Communications, and senior business leaders.
  • Influence cross-functional decisions to enhance enterprise talent programs.
  • Partner with Talent Development to integrate performance management with manager development, career growth, and learning strategies.
  • Drive enterprise initiatives without direct people management responsibility.
  • Coach stakeholders, build alignment, and influence senior leaders.
  • Stay current on external trends and bring innovative thinking to performance and talent management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Performance Management, Talent Management, Organizational Development, HR Consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success designing and leading enterprise performance management programs in a complex organization.
  • Strong expertise in organizational effectiveness, change management, and talent strategy.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives with executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional consulting, communication, facilitation, and influence skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data and insights to improve program outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with Compensation, HR Technology, and HR Business Partners to deliver enterprise talent solutions.
