About the Role
Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking a talented, mid-level Graphic Designer for a 4-month engagement to support a new brand rollout and provide design capacity during a busy election and fundraising season. The role involves creating visually dynamic assets for various platforms and requires an organized, focused, and detail-oriented candidate experienced in managing multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex ideas into visual concepts using a range of tools, including ads, social media graphics, email graphics, merch design, photo research and editing, video graphics, and animation.
- Contribute to building out a new brand system.
- Spearhead and manage projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines.
- Be collaborative and solutions-oriented, with a curious approach to problem-solving.
- Work in a fast-paced campaign atmosphere, prioritizing projects and tasks daily.
- Be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Champion visual communication tools and opportunities.
- Integrate accessibility and equity in work, learning new tools, gathering insights, and sharing with the team.
- Be a team player, comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
Requirements
- BA, BFA, MFA, or equivalent agency or in-house design experience.
- 5+ years of design experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating mastery of type, color, composition, and visual systems.
- Belief in the mission of ending gun violence and seeing design as an instrument for social and political change.
- Resume and portfolio required for application.
