About the Role

The employee will be responsible for becoming certified in present and future approved methods within the NDT department and maintaining these certifications. The role involves performing various inspections according to procedures and associated governances.

Responsibilities

• Certify to Level-2 in Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI) and Digital Radiography (DR) within 2 years.
• Complete 3 certification tests (Level 2 – FPI, Level-1 & 2 – DR).
• Complete Level-2 recertifications every 5 years.
• Understand and comply with all NDT procedures and assigned task/method governances.
• Operate required equipment, perform systems checks, and routine maintenance.
• Read prints and process drawings associated with AA TECH product.
• Develop techniques for future AA TECH product and improve processes for enhanced inspection results or reduced ergonomic concerns.
• Examine hundreds of parts daily for flaws, incorrect assemblies, rework evaluations, etc., aiming for a near-perfect quality record.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand detailed work instructions, procedures, and drawings.
• Strong computer skills including creating spreadsheets and Word documents, developing Excel formulas, data entry, and proficiency in the Windows OS.
• Basic math and algebra skills required.
• General science comprehension required.
• Must successfully complete an eye test.
• Must meet and maintain all requirements within Q09-02-4001 and NAS-410 for present and future NDT certifications.
• Must be able to travel 5% of the time (up to 3 weeks per year).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.
• Must provide evidence of citizenship or immigration status upon applying.
