About the Role

This role will shape the future of next-gen search, content discovery, and conversational AI experiences, turning ambitious AI capabilities into intuitive, beautiful, and transformative products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of conversational AI, content discovery, and search interfaces across platforms, optimizing experiences for non-deterministic outcomes.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and AI Research Scientists to navigate complex search tech stacks and inform product strategy.
- Utilize advanced prototyping tools and AI-driven workflows for rapid experimentation and validation of dynamic user flows.
- Apply a systems-thinking approach to ensure seamless integration of UI components into a cohesive global product ecosystem.
- Craft visual, motion, and interaction patterns adhering to world-class standards in localization, usability, safety, accessibility, and ethical AI.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating leadership on complex, high-impact consumer products.
- Proven ability to lead design in ambiguous and technically rigorous problem spaces, driving alignment across multiple partners or teams.
- Expertise in interaction and visual design, with a refined sense of typography, layout, hierarchy, and motion.
- Deep UX fundamentals, including information architecture, system-level thinking, and designing for engagement and retention at scale.
- Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows, with the ability to move between low- and high-fidelity.
- Data-informed mindset, comfortable partnering with research and analytics to shape hypotheses and evaluate outcomes.
- Experience in communication and storytelling, including presenting to senior leaders and influencing without authority.
- Experience understanding accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.
- Extensive experience designing complex software applications with specific expertise in consumer search, conversational AI, and model tuning.
- History of shepherding radical ideas and shipping transformative zero-to-one products within scaled, highly matrixed environments.
- Comfort navigating technical architecture and working directly with AI/ML engineering teams.
- Exceptional fluency across visual design, motion design, interaction patterns, and scalable design systems.
- Ability to leverage behavioral data and user research methodologies to evaluate AI interactions.
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to articulate design rationale and influence strategy.
- Passionate commitment to building ethical, safe, inclusive, and accessible products for a diverse global audience.
