About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard. You will carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown work on all mechanical systems, with knowledge of HVAC, hot & cold-water systems and generators, and the ability to fault-find using graphical and alarm data.
Responsibilities
- Ensure routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
- Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and proactively highlight areas for improvement.
- Complete and submit all paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks, ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs/SLAs.
- Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Ensure all plant rooms are always locked, clean, and tidy.
- Supervise and monitor subcontractors' work on site.
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work, safety procedures, and client requirements; promote safe practices with correct PPE and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Requirements
- 2 + years’ experience in a similar role.
- Basic electrical knowledge is desirable.
