About the Role
The Service Technician is responsible for assisting with equipment service and repairs and prepares new and demo equipment of the ACT product lines.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and engage in training of MA Lighting consoles.
- Assist with equipment diagnostics, service, and repairs.
- Deliver technical support and troubleshooting across our full range of brands, from wireless lighting and moving heads to tracking systems.
- Support customers both remotely and on-site, ensuring they can achieve the best from their equipment.
- Collaborate with the service, sales, and marketing teams to share product knowledge and customer feedback.
- Ensure quality control across new and demo equipment that has been serviced as well as for the sales team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 months related live event production experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Office applications experience a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware and software.
- Familiarity with MA consoles (grandMA2/grandMA2) is a strong advantage.
- Previous hands-on experience with moving lights, lighting control, and live production technology.
- Familiar with the use of diagnostic and repair tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, DMX tester, soldering tools.
- Experience with computer networking (IP, show networks, system integration) a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues.
- Must be able to safely lift items weighing 25kg.
