About the Role
Giant Tiger is seeking friendly, motivated individuals to join our team as Cashiers. This role is crucial in ensuring customers have a great experience and find the products they need at the right price.
Responsibilities
- Ensures a high level of customer service at the checkouts
- Accurately records customer transactions in electronic cash register, mainline and self checkouts (SCOs)
- Replenishes merchandise around the checkout area
- Ensures health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
- Ensures the checkout work area is kept clean and organized
- Ensures Loss prevention best practices are followed
- Ensures compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery
Requirements
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment

- $17.60 hourly rate
- Bonus - Store Bonus Plan, 3% Annual
